WHPC Receives Brookfield Conservation Award!
The Brookfield Conservation Award is named in honor of the historic Brookfield Farm near Lexington, KY. The original parcels of Brookfield were received from the British monarchy in the late 1700s. In 2000 Brookfield was placed in the Bluegrass Conservancy by its owners, Betsy and Jack van Nagell. The Brookfield Conservation Award rewards efforts for the promotion of land conservation through member, club or regional dedication and hard work.

Woodbrook Hunt Pony Club By John on August 8, 2011 12:32 PM, Filed Under Good News
Sometimes we get photos sent in that are just too cute not to post. This is the Woodbrook Hunt Pony Club, located near Tacoma, Washington. They went to Polestar Farm in Lake Stevens, WA for their summer camp and from the looks of the photo they had a great time. Meika, the EN reader who sent this in, said there was a mix of 12.1hh ponies up to full event horses. Meika said the camp would have been a much more traumatic experience without the use of anti-grass-eating reins! Ponies will try amazing athletic feats to grab a tuft, whether there is a jump in front of them or not. As Meika said, "three cheers for Pony Club... because 'Horse Club' just doesn't sound right."
Go eventing. "Red on the Right, White on the Left, Insanity in the Middle!"
